Please join us for our Parish Picnic on Sunday, June 6, from 5 to 8 p.m. on the south lawn.

Message from The Pastor

Please join us in honoring Jesus in the Most Holy Eucharist on Sunday, June 6, at 4:15 pm. On this day, the Church celebrates the Solemnity of Corpus Christi – the Body and Blood of Christ. Prior to the parish picnic, Fr. Luke will lead an Outdoor Eucharistic Procession around the St. Francis of Assisi Campus. The procession will begin and end in the church.

Alexa Smith is our new director of communications and advancement for the church and school, replacing Rebecca Vodola,

On May 14, our school held a May Crowning to celebrate the Blessed Virgin Mary.

Nuessen Family

This is a partial transcript of Ron & Cathy’s stewardship talk given at a Mass during Stewardship Renewal weekend in November 2020.

Good morning, my name is Ron Nuessen and this is my wife Cathy. We have been parishioners as a family since 2000. We have two children. Bryer is a freshman at Bishop Carroll, and Sydney is a 5th grader at SFA. We feel truly blessed to be members of this great parish.

I decided on “Frozen Jr.” for the school’s musical this year because I love the music.

It has been a tough couple of weeks on the home front. The refrigerator stopped cooling, and the freezer stopped freezing. The dishwasher has been leaking, and the garage door was not rolling smoothly along the tracks.

On April 20, 2021, Fr. Kapaun’s 105th birthday, Fr. Jarrod dedicated a new statue of Fr. Kapaun in a short ceremony at St. Francis. Thanks to a generous gift, our parish commissioned this statue of Servant of God Emil J. Kapaun, a priest of the Diocese of Wichita who was captured in the Korean War.

This is the script of Fr. Luke Downing’s homily at the Easter Vigil Mass on April 3, 2021.

“If I were not a physicist, I would probably be a musician. I often think in music; I live my daydreams in music; I see my life in terms of music.”

Congratulations and welcome to the following, all of whom were fully initiated into the Roman Catholic Church at our Easter Vigil on April 3, 2021:
