Prayer & Action is a summer program that offers high school students a mission experience in their own diocese. This low-cost mission trip experience offers students an opportunity to dive deeper into their relationship with Christ while serving people in their own community and growing deeper in faith with peers from around the Diocese of Wichita and beyond. The program was named after a quote about Mary from Pope Saint John Paul II that emphasized Mary's dedication to both prayer and action.
At the June 13-18 Prayer & Action week, CYM joined other high school students from the diocese to paint, clean, do yard work and perform other meaningful tasks on the St. Anne's parish campus. Students arrived Sunday evening and stayed until noon on Friday.

"It is our hope that through our participation in Prayer & Action, each young person will realize that mission work can occur in our own backyard," said Emily Savage, director of youth ministry. "Many have commented that the experience was a life-changing event. Their faith was broadened, and many new friendships were made."
