Family Fun Night

Mission:

To bring together parishioners, parents, faculty, students, and the community for a safe, fun, family-oriented night of activities during the Halloween season. The evening is filled with room-to-room games, raffles, silent gift basket auction, and lots of homemade goodies. Fun Night encourages school and parish involvement with all proceeds benefiting SFA School.

Ladies Auxiliary

Mission:

The mission of the Ladies Auxiliary is to provide the ladies of the parish opportunities to meet and join in social, educational, spiritual and service activities.

Activities:

This is an organization for all women of the parish. Meetings are held on weekday evenings, four to five times a year. Registered members will receive email notifications for meetings and other events, which will also be publicized – when possible – in the church bulletin. Some of the ways the Ladies Auxiliary serves our parish family are hosting receptions, assisting with parish dinner invitations, and offering programs of interest to the ladies of our parish.

Ladies Auxiliary - Wedding Receptions

Mission:

The committee offers personal assistance to couples planning wedding ceremonies and receptions at St. Francis. We provide a website which displays rental items along with a list of services we provide if you choose to hire our volunteers to assist with your special day. We also extend our services to bridal showers, baby showers, or anniversaries which take place at St. Francis.

Men's Club

Mission:

To foster Christian fellowship between men of the parish.

Activities:

The Men’s Club is called upon to do many services for the parish. They set up tables and chairs for the annual Parish Dinner and serve refreshments during the social hour. They enjoy social activities at their monthly meetings.

Parish Dinner

Mission:

Every year, the parish says “thank you” to the registered adult parishioners at our Parish Dinner, which is preceded by a social hour. This is also an opportunity for the Parish leaders to report on the state of the parish. Registered adults will receive an invitation in the mail. This is a wonderful opportunity to socialize with your fellow parishioners. There is no charge for this event.

Parish Picnic

Mission:

A yearly picnic for our parish families is held on the parish grounds on the first Sunday in June. Food and drinks are provided. The date is announced in the bulletin each year.

Square Dance

Mission:

To develop Christian fellowship through dancing.

Activities:

The Square Dance Club dances the first and third Sunday evening of the dancing season, entertaining other dancers of our area. Among the club activities are the dances, ice cream socials, potluck suppers and social gatherings. Also, our charitable activities include raising money for a needy family at Christmas, entertainment of the residents in the area’s care homes and our yearly donation to St. Francis of Assisi Church. Everyone is welcome at our square dance lessons that are given each fall.

Women's Bowling

Mission:

To provide an afternoon of fun and social gatherings while, at the same time, making money for the school.

Activities:

The league is open for women of all ages and any skill level. We bowl at West Acres Bowling Alley from mid-August through the first week of May on Tuesdays from 1:00-3:15 p.m.
