Our parish will celebrate the Solemnity of St. Francis during the weekend of October 4-6 with various activities including the parish workday and parish dinner. The schedule for the weekend is as follows:
Friday, October 4
Pet Blessings, in front of the rectory, 3:45 and 6:15 p.m.
Extraordinary Form (Latin) Mass, in the church, 5:30 p.m.
Saturday, October 5
Parish Workday, 8 a.m. to 2 p.m.
This workday not only accomplishes many needed tasks on our campus for buildings and grounds; but it also builds relationships and gives parishioners a chance to work side-by-side with one another. Through working together we will grow in knowledge of one another and strengthen our ties to our community. You can sign up for specific workday tasks here: https://www.signupgenius.com/go/8050944ABA822AAF94-fall
RCIA Candidates Enter the Church, 7:00 p.m.
On the evening of October 5, at the 7:00 p.m. Mass, we will initiate ten new Catholics into the Church through the RCIA program. What a joy that on the Feast of St. Francis (transferred to Sunday by the permission of Bishop Kemme) we will welcome new converts to our faith.
Sunday, October 6
Parish Dinner, 5 p.m. social hour, 6 p.m. dinner (RSVP only)
Our annual parish dinner is an explicit act of gratitude for all the stewardship the parishioners of St. Francis have given over the past year. It is an annual update on the “state of the parish” by the council chairs. And finally, it is a night of socializing, conversation, music, singing and dancing (with dueling pianos).
Please join us on the weekend of October 4, 5, and 6, for any or all of these activities.
