Goals and activities to fulfill the mission of each committee are established yearly.

Adult Basketball

Mission:

To play basketball once a week for recreation and fellowship.

Adult Volleyball

Mission:

To play volleyball once a week for recreation and fellowship.

50 Plus Club

Mission:

To provide spiritual, educational and social activities for the members of the organization.

Activities:

The 50 Plus Club was organized in 1986 at St. Francis of Assisi Church. Its purpose is providing spiritual, educational and social activities for people 50 years of age or older. The club meets on the second Sunday evening of each month, except for the months of July and August, in St. Clare Hall. The club welcomes anyone who would like to admit they are 50 or older!!! and wants to come have an enjoyable evening and make new friends. The club gives to charity at Christmas time from funds generated by Bingo games held during the year.

Harvest House

Mission:

To provide senior adults an opportunity to meet monthly for prayer, socializing and being involved as part of the St. Francis Parish family.

Activities:

The goals of Harvest House are new religious experience, social awareness, service, recreation and celebration, community involvement and continuing education. Although Harvest House is a parish organization, it is also affiliated with the Diocesan H.H. encouraged by our Bishops and coordinated by Sister Marietta Urban to develop interaction among the Wichita Diocese parishes. Programs include speakers, picnic and dinners, day trips and tours (Diocesan). Meetings are held on the 3rd Thursday of each month (except July and August) at 1:00 p.m.

Ladies Auxiliary

Mission:

The mission of the Ladies Auxilliary of St. Francis is to provide the ladies of the parish opportunities to meet and join in social, educational and spiritual activities.

Activities:

The Ladies Auxiliary is an organization for all women of the parish. Monthly meetings are held on the third or fourth Thursday of the month. There are no meetings in June, July or August. Some ways the Ladies Auxiliary serves our parish family are: Providing flowers for the altar, selling Dillon's certificates after each Mass, serving receptions, organizing quarterly skating parties and the annual Joyland party for the school, hand addressing and sorting for mailing the invitations to the parish dinner and offering programs of interest for the ladies of our parish.

Wedding Receptions (A Division of Ladies Auxiliary)

Mission:

Rents dishes & utensils for wedding reception. Volunteers serve cake and punch and provide assistance for set-up and clean up at receptions.

Men's Club

Mission:

To foster Christian fellowship between the men of the parish.

Activities:

The Men's Club is called upon to do many services for the parish. They set up tables and chairs for the annual Parish Dinner and serve refreshments during the social hour. They enjoy social activities at their monthly meetings.

Parish Dance

Mission:

A social organization to provide an atmosphere for "Fun" for the adults of the parish.

Square Dance (Westside Steppers)

Mission:

To develop Christian fellowship through dancing.

Activities:

The Square Dance Club was formed in 1975, and dances the first and third Sunday evening of the dancing season, entertaining other dancers of our area. Among the club activities are the dances, ice cream socials, potluck suppers and social gatherings. Also, our charitable activities are raising money for a needy family at Christmas, entertainment of the residents in the area's care homes, and our yearly donation to St. Francis of Assisi Church. Square dance lessons are given every fall and everyone is welcome.

Women's Bowling

Mission:

To provide an afternoon of fun and social get-together that at the same time makes money for the school.
