The Communication Coordinator serves as the liaison between the
Communication Committees and the Parish Pastoral Council.
Goals and activities to fulfill the mission of each committee are
established yearly.
Mission:
|
Sharing the broad fabric of St. Francis of Assisi Parish in the
most up-to-date, electronic way possible with its parishioners, the
country, and -- ultimately -- the world.
|
Activities:
|
Updating the website database with new information and/or
changes. Providing assistance and guidance to persons and
organizations who wish to display information on the website.
Assessing the compatibility of those requests with the Mission
Statements of the groups. Providing assistance and guidance to
persons and groups who will be adding or updating information to
the website themselves. Providing oversight on all material that
is on the website at any given time and taking corrective action if
warranted.
|
Mission:
|
To provide valuable information to all St. Francis parishioners.
In doing so, this committee will produce various publications of
general interest and distribute in a variety of forms, anything
from pamphlets to promotional projects.
|
Mission:
|
The Vernacular Committee is responsible for the St. Francis of
Assisi monthly newsletter, The Vernacular.
|
Activities:
|
The Vernacular, the parish newsletter, is distributed at
Masses once each month, usually the last Sunday of the month. It
contains news and photographs of parish interest. The
Vernacular also publishes interesting and informative articles
about the Catholic faith, usually written by volunteer reporters
from the parish.
|
Deadline for articles, calendar items or other information to be
published in The Vernacular is the last day of each
month.
