The Cub Scout program at St. Francis of Assisi is a fun and
exciting adventure for boys from 1st through 5th grade. The program
is designed to help boys develop good sportsmanship, self-reliance,
good character, learn teamwork and most of all - have fun. Scouting
is a year round program where the scouts earn badges as they
advance in rank and develop new skills, abilities and friendships.
Pack meetings are usually held the fourth Tuesday of each month in
the basement of St. Clare Hall.

Troop 762 has been chartered by the Boy Scouts of America since
1962 and is for boys 11-18 years old. Boy Scouting teaches
citizenship, leadership, moral values, duty to God and Country and
outdoor camping skills. Troop 762 is a scout-run organization and
the youth leadership is elected from the troop.
The troop goes camping every month and our travels take us from
the mountains of Colorado to canoeing in the Ozarks to high
adventure camping at Philmont Scout Ranch in New Mexico and the
Northern Tier Canoe base in Canada. The scouts have fun as they
advance in rank and maturity on the trail to Eagle, the highest
rank in scouting.

- Girl Scouts (Daisy, Brownie, and Girl Scouts)
-
Mission:
|
To develop girls potential, to make friends and to become a vital part
of the parish. Based on ethical values, it opens up a world of opportunities
for girls working in partnership with adult volunteers.
|
Activities:
|
In Girl Scouts, girls discover the fun, friendship, and power of
girls together. Through a myriad of enriching experiences, such as
extraordinary field trips, sports skill-building clinics, community
service projects, cultural exchanges, and environmental stewardships,
girls grow courageous and strong. Girl scouting helps girls ages 5-17
develop their full individual potential; relate to others with
increasing understanding, skill, and respect; develop values to guide
their actions and provide the foundation for sound decision-making;
and contribute to the improvement of our parish and society through
their abilities, leadership skills, and cooperation with others. Women
and men will find a wide variety of opportunities in assisting the
Girl Scouts of our parish.
