The Computer Lab at St. Francis has 31 IBM computers. Each student has the opportunity to work on his/her own computer.

My teaching focus is two-fold: technology-based instruction and curriculum-based instruction. I use activities from a program called Techworks which focuses on various aspects of technology geared toward each grade level. I also provide activities that are outcome-based which means they meet the educational curriculum needs and standards of each grade level.

The students at SFA work with Microsoft Office which includes Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Access. Throughout the year, we work on projects which revolve around each program individually. We also have culminating projects which revolve around how these programs can be integrated. We also spend time developing keyboarding skills. Each class works at their own pace.

The Computer Lab is open after school until 4pm. Monday through Thursday for Accelerated Reader testing or for students who need the use of a computer for homework assignments.
