To donate our time and talent to help bridge the needs of our community through various drives and activities
Activity / Explanation
The Charities Committee sponsors four blood drives yearly for the American Red Cross. They also maintain food collection baskets located in the walkway between Church and Clare Hall. Donations are taken by committee members weekly to St. Anthony Family Shelter for distribution to the needy. Every Tuesday and Thursday Committee members pick up bakery items donated by Dillons at 13th and Tyler and deliver them to Guadalupe Clinic to benefit the working poor and unemployed. The Charities Committee sponsors a Lenten food drive. Donated items are delivered by members of the committee to Catholic Charities “Our Daily Bread” Food Pantry. Our “Summer Harvest” drive benefits several charities, including St. Anthony Family Shelter, Guadalupe Clinic, Gerard House, Birthline, Harbor House, Dear Neighbor Ministries/Stepstone, Center of Hope, A Better Choice and “Our Daily Bread” Food Pantry.
