To create and maintain beautiful landscape and garden areas around the church grounds.
Activity / Explanation
Identify the needs for landscape and garden areas, including the 14 identified garden areas around the church. Enlist Master Gardeners assistance and advice in design when creating or refreshing gardens. Establish leaders for each garden area and a gardening assistance group to aid with identified maintenance needs and to participate in spring/fall work days. Main garden areas include:
- Mary’s Courtyard and Memorial Garden (Memorial Bricks)
- St. Francis Statue/Prayer Garden
- Twin Gardens
- Lamp post Garden
- Main Entrance Mary Garden
- Lily Garden
- Father Kapaun Statue Garden
- St. Michael Garden
- Bell Tower Garden
- Church Sign Garden
- Trees/Shrubs
- Adoration Garden
- Westside Shrubs
- Choir Gardens
