He is Risen – Live as One Caught Up in Love

Alleluia! He is risen indeed!
In this sacred season of Easter, we celebrate not only a historical event but a divine mystery—a reality that changes everything. The resurrection of Jesus Christ is not simply a moment of triumph after tragedy; it is an invitation to be caught up in the love of the Father for the Son. This love transforms us, calling us to live differently, to serve more fully, and to become active members of the Body of Christ.

Too often, we think of holiness as something we must achieve—as though it were a list of accomplishments or moral victories. But holiness is not something we manufacture. It is something we receive. The Risen Lord is not just before us, leading the way; He is within us, calling us to share in His mission of love and service.

This is why Easter must change the way we live. Not just the way we pray or think—but the way we engage with our parish. To live as one who has been raised with Christ is to live in such a way that everything—our time, our talents, our relationships—are ordered toward building up His Church.

True stewardship is not about duty or obligation. It is about joyfully responding to God’s love by using the gifts He has entrusted to us. Every act of service, every moment spent in ministry, every hand extended in kindness is an opportunity to be Christ to others. Our parish is a living, breathing family of faith, and it flourishes when each of us steps forward to take part in its mission.

St. Paul writes, “If then you were raised with Christ, seek what is above… For you have died, and your life is hidden with Christ in God” (Colossians 3:1,3, NABRE). This “hidden life” is the life of a disciple—one who quietly, faithfully, and generously lives out the resurrection in their daily walk. Not out of duty. Not for recognition. But because love compels it (see 2 Corinthians 5:14, NABRE).

And so, my friends, on this Easter Sunday, I encourage you to reflect: How is God calling you to be more present in our parish family? Where can your gifts make a difference? What step can you take to deepen your involvement and help bring Christ’s love to others?

May this Easter be not just a single day of joy but the beginning of a season of transformation. May the light of the Resurrection inspire you to new ways of serving, growing, and living as an active member of our parish.

He is risen. And you—by grace—have risen with Him.
Happy Easter. Alleluia!
