With internal Church renovations being complete, and having returned home for Mass, it is time to form a Parish Technology Guild to help oversee our technology needs. There are several systems at play in our Sacristy, Vestibule, Bell Tower, and Church. This guild would oversee maintaining these systems and maximizing their potential for parish use. (Members would also be called upon in emergent situations to troubleshoot problems.)

These systems include:

  1. Audio
  2. Visual for live streaming
  3. Bells
  4. Sacristy/Vestibule Computers
  5. New Lighting controls

If you possess skills (preferably in a professional manner) in any of these systems, please consider offering your stewardship to the parish. I would like to invite you to an informational meeting on Oct. 24th at 6:00 p.m. in the Church. I will show you the various systems at play and outline the needs and possibilities specific to each one.

Finally, I want to make an analogous connection between our Church’s architectural aspects and the 4 Pillars of Stewardship. I believe these two can be connected as: Stone = Prayer, Wood = Hospitality, Concrete = Service, and Triangulation = Formation. The strength of our Church’s architecture and the great need for stewardship contribution are deeply connected. Our church would not be standing without the strength of its strong architecture, and our parish cannot stand without the backing of all of its parishioners contributing to the Stewardship Way of Life. Stay tuned for our next Father’s Focus where I will go into further detail on this connection.

I hope this reflection is helpful and inspires you as you step into your newly renovated Church.
