Helpful Sites
- Beanstack – A digital reading log that allows students to set goals, complete challenges and track their reading progress. Students will be assigned a minutes-based reading goal or a title-based reading goal by their teacher. Students must then track their progress towards this goal using Beanstack to receive class credit. Meeting this goal will also allow students to participate in PTO’s Reading Rewards Party. Library staff will sponsor additional, optional, reading challenges for student enrichment. The Beanstack app is available through the student’s Clever account.
- Google Classroom – For project resources, book reviews, and more.
- Great Reads – This program encourages 3rd-8th grade students to read a range of classic books from a growing list of 23 titles. Students who read 15 of the Great Reads by the end of 8th grade will be recognized both at graduation and at the Reading Awards Ceremony. Students who read 3 or more Great Reads during the school year will be invited to an end of year celebration. All students will be required to track the Great Read title in the Beanstack app. Visit the library for the Great Reads list.
- Library Catalog (Follett Destiny Discover) – Online catalog allows students, teacher and parents to search the books in the SFA Library catalog and see if they are available for check out.
