The art program is committed to teaching students about the creative process while also shaping technique and skill through structured projects. It’s our belief that any student can become a good artist, and we see great results to that goal each year with the effort students put forth.
Art is offered to …
- Students in all day preschool through 6th grades for 40 minutes, once a week.
- Students in 7th and 8th grades as a C.E. choice (9th hour) in all four quarters, meeting daily.
The art program utilizes Artsonia to showcase student artwork in an online gallery accessible to family and friends. Students are always excited to see their artwork online and receive comments from family members on the projects they’ve been working on. As a school, we’ve been blessed to receive several awards for our collaboration with this online forum. To view our school’s art gallery, visit Artsonia.
The art department also hosts an art show in conjunction with the spring concert given at St. Francis. Please join us at this event as we recognize the accomplishments of our talented art students. Every art student will have at least one project featured at this show!
