To protect all human life from conception to natural death, especially those most vulnerable and weak, by ensuring a strong parish presence through education, prayer and action.
Activity / Explanation
The purpose of this committee is to protect all human life, from conception to natural death. Our committee achieves this by carrying our projects in four areas. Education: Respect life Week for School and PSR Students, pamphlet rack literature and video presentations. Legislative: Phone, letter and email campaigns to local, state and national legislators. Compassion: Joy of Giving Tree (collecting items for area crisis centers), supporting women in crisis pregnancies and a pro-life prayer chain. On Site: Encourage prayer and sidewalk counseling at local abortion clinics, life chain and encourage parishioners to live the gospel of Life. The Respect Life Committee networks with other pro-life organizations and works with the Diocesan Respect Life Office.
